Our past events
Cultural 4KAST organises one monthly free meeting.
Since December 2020, we have hosted 15 events with 13 special guests and more than 150 attendees. So far, our intercultural experiences have reached people living in the United States, France, Germany, Austria, Scotland and the UK.

April 24th, 2022 in Rastatt (DE)
Discovering the French side of Rastatt
A walk through the charming city of Rastatt to enjoy the architecture of the castle, inspired from some of the biggest ones in France. Thank you for the two participants who made it despite the rain!
March 19th, 2022 in Strasbourg (FR)
Discovering the German side of Strasbourg
We visited the neighborhood “Neustadt” of Strasbourg, which is known for its German buildings from the 19th century. A highlight of the visit was the visit of the Bibliothèque Nationale Universitaire, with its modern staircase in the centre that highlights the ancient structure of the building.
January 29th, 2022 in Karlsruhe (DE)
Time Travel in Karlsruhe
We went back in time by visiting the exhibition “Karlsruhe im Fokus” in Prinz-Max-Palais. We discovered impressions of Karlsruhe from the 1970s to 1990s taken by three photographers (Dietmar Hamel, Walter Schnebele, Adelheid Heine-Stillmark).
And we ended the meeting in the Badisch Brauhaus!

First Anniversary
We celebrated the first year of Cultural 4KAST by diving in the local culture.
We went to the Christmas Market in Strasbourg and to Wirtshaus Wolfbräu in Karlsruhe.

November 2nd, 2021 at Les Petites Cantines Strasbourg (FR)
Atelier de cuisine, dîner et rencontre avec Zafar Khalili
We discovered the story of the Afghan food imports brand “Le petit mandawi” from it’s founder Zafar Khalili. Also, we got to cook a traditional Afghan meal with Nazira from the Stamtish brigade.
This event was a partnership with SINGA Stuttgart and Stamtish.
October 2nd, 2021 at KulturKüche Karlsruhe (DE)
Affaires d’épices / Gewürze & Geschäfte
We got to now the newborn natural spices blend line “Rabya Würze” with one of it’s founder Penda Bischoff. She also cooked a vegetarian couscous for us to taste her products.
This event was a partnership with SINGA Stuttgart, la Maison de l’Emploi Strasbourg and KulturKüche.

We explored the Rhine “Zone” with artist’s Marion Balac walking tour based on a fake story.
This event was a partnership with Syndicat Potentiel, Maison Européenne de l’Architecture.

The conversation was interesting. I learned things I didn’t know about coffee. The guests and audience were very friendly. It was a very chilled conversation.

„”Kultur verbindet” und das lebt Cultural4KAST in einem außergewöhnlichen Format. Mir ist kein vergleichbarer Rahmen bekannt, in dem die Menschen sich so bereichernd begegnen und in dem eine Nähe selbst im virtuellen Raum hergestellt werden kann, wie bei dem Event “write, read and play” bei dem ich zu Gast sein durfte, um meine Musik und meine Texte zu präsentieren. Die Ideen und das Engagement der Macher:innen von Cultural4KAST sind eine Bereicherung für Publikum und Künstler.“

Le point fort de cette initiative est de pouvoir rencontrer un public intéressé à l’art contemporain dans la région transfrontalière, soit professionnelle ou non, qui souhaite entrer en échange avec l’artiste. La discussion à la fin était très enrichissante.

Blending in with music, Association Ballade
Plus que d’acquérir de nouvelles connaissances et expériences, j’aime les partager. J’ai toujours aimé pouvoir partager ma passion. J’ai ainsi été extrêmement heureuse de faire partie de cet évènement, réalisant ainsi que je suis écoutée par des personnes qui ne sont pas forcément elles-mêmes musiciennes et qui ne vivent pas qu’en France.

Kultur bringt die Menschen zusammen. Und das ist es was wir brauchen, meiner Meinung nach.
Und eine Kulturveranstaltung wie diese in einem virtuellen Raum hat es das Potenzial über Grenzen hinweg stattfinden zu können.
